The Labor of Children (Not Really)
The school year is hard and very boring.
Schoolwork, homework, class participation.
Summer is supposed to be restoring.
For a reason, it's a called a "vacation."
We want to stay at the beach all the time,
Sit around doing nothing all day long.
There are places to be, and trees to climb.
Now that is something we have to prolong.
We beg, please schools, have mercy on us kids.
Don't let us waste our youth on paperwork.
Make a law that absolutely forbids,
Schools assigning work that drives us berserk.
Seriously consider my advice,
